Brief History

The Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd. was established in 1966 with the objectives to improve the performance of the Cooperative Sugar Mills and to establish new Cooperative Sugar Mills in the State of Haryana. At present 10 Coop. Sugar Mills are in operation in Haryana under the control of Sugar Federation. An another Cooperative Sugar Mill at Assandh (2500 TCD) is being operated by the HAFED. Preparation of Cane Development Plan for improving productivity and income to the farmers from sugar cane crop.

Vision

To work harmoniously for overall progress and prosperity of farmers by paying fair returns to sugarcane, generation of employment, trading activities and environment friendly industrialisation.

Future Schemes / Plans

i) Shifting, expansion and Modernisation of Panipat Sugar Mills along with Co­-generation and ethanol plant.

ii) The possibility to install the value added projects of bye-products in PPP mode is being explored.

iii) Installation of 60 KLPD Ethanol Plant at Shahabad Sugar Mills.
